The Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) is a federal Crown corporation that “protects your hard-earned money.”

CDIC contributes to the stability of the Canadian financial system by providing deposit insurance against the loss of eligible deposits at member institutions in the event of failure.

• Complete a strategic review and evaluation of a public awareness strategy and associated key performance indicators (KPIs), campaign media planning, and implementation activities
• Determine if additional spending for the campaign satisfied managements’ overall objectives and original intent for the initiative
• Determine if additional spending had made a measurable positive impact on public awareness of CDIC’s brand, purpose and value, thus promoting greater confidence in Canada’s financial system
• Provide recommendations for alternatives and improvements

• Conducted extensive research and multiple interviews to understand and analyze inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact
• Evaluated whether additional spending on CDIC’s public awareness campaign, aimed at four key target groups across Canada, had made a measurable positive impact on public awareness of the Crown corporation’s brand and strategic objectives
• Presented a final report with key findings, which included a series of recommended ideas, options, and tactics that if accepted, could enhance the current or next public awareness campaign
